Director Saeed Taji Farouky was invited to Dokfestival Leipzig, Germany's biggest documentary film festival, as a panelist on Arab documentaries.

Along with Lebanon's Eliane Raheb, Saudi Arabia's Haifa Mansour, and Palestine's Azza El-Hassan, Farouky joined the festival's 1001 Images forum examining the rise of a new style of Arab documentary.

Tourist With A Typewriter's documentary I See The Stars At Noon, about a Moroccan man's desperate attempt to illegally cross the Straits of Gibraltar and enter Spain, was screened twice at the long-established festival, now celebrating its 49th year.

You can hear an excerpt from Andreas Wirwalski's interview with Farouky on his podcast here (only in German).
